Werner & Pfleiderer - Quality Improvement for 135 Years - page 18

“The most impressive experience for me was a task in
Zagreb, on two counts: The confidence built even before
the contract was signed and, according to our motto
“think
process!”
, the cooperation within the
WP Bakery
GROUP.”
The industrial bakery Mlinar in Croatia planned to move
its production into another building. At the same time,
the machines and equipment needed to be replaced.
The bakery asked WP Haton and WP Industrial Bakery
Technology for a proposal.
However, the mentality of Croatian business people is
different from attitudes in Germany. For them, the first
important thing was to ensure that the chemistry was right
between us. In order to ascertain this, the owner of the
bakery invited us onto his yacht. During our mutual time
on the Croatian Adriatic Sea, he gained confidence not just
in our contractual commitment but also in our personal
commitment towards proper functioning of the project.
Mlinar supplies approximately 100 of its own shops with
Baton bread, free-form white bread made from very soft
dough, baguettes and various smaller baked items.
The new production facility is one of the largest and most
advanced in Eastern Europe and a perfect demonstration
of the capabilities of the individual WP group members.
Dough divider PARTA U, conical rounders, intermediate
proofers, moulder/sheeters and the industrial dough divi-
der V 700 were supplied by WP Haton while WP Industrial
Bakery Technologies delivered one THERMADOR and one
MEGADOR oven. Several ROTOTHERM ovens were provided
by WP Bakery Technologies and a bread roll line by WP
Kemper. I can hardly imagine a better example for putting
the
“think process!”
concept into practice.”
Since 2010, Axel Wagner has been Key Account Mana-
ger at WP Haton. He is responsible for customer relations
in Germany, Austria, Spain and several Eastern European
countries. He has worked for WP Kemper since 2005.
