From WP to the WP Bakery

There have been many things that have changed in
the bakeries over the last 135 years, except for one:
The request to combine the different processing stages
in baked goods production using well tuned machines
and equipment. This was the situation at the end of
the 19th century, when Hermann Pfleiderer, founder of
Werner & Pfleiderer, started making dough mixers.
At that time, the visionary entrepreneur arrived at a
groundbreaking decision: In the future, WP would build
all the machines and equipment needed for the production
of baked goods themselves.
This goal has been consistently pursued over the sub-
sequent decades and today the motto
“think process!”
describes the mission of an entire group of companies –
the
WP Bakery
GROUP. Apart from Werner & Pfleiderer,
which was renamed WP Bakery Technologies, the other
specialist companies for bakery technology are WP Kem-
per, WP Haton, WP Riehle and WP Industrial Bakery Tech-
nologies.
Artisan bakers as well as industrial bakeries from all over
the world rely on the

supplier of machines and equipment for the entire pro-
