Highly qualified

On 1 September, three new trainees started into their working lives at WP Kemper. This day also marked a particular milestone for former trainees. They received their training certificates, and have since strengthened the team at WP Kemper as qualified skilled workers.

In Germany, there are roughly 1.3 million trainees who are trained to learn their future profession in more than 427,000 companies. The average training quota, i.e. the ratio of trainees in proportion to the total number of employees working in a company, is 4.8 %.

The training quota at WP Kemper achieves a high of more than 10 %. “Qualified vocational training is something we place special importance on, because we believe it takes committed young people “from among our own ranks” to help us master the challenges posed by our customers in the future,” explains Bernd Otte, Managing Director at WP Kemper, welcoming the new trainees Denis Middendorf (mechatronics technician), Patrick Pape (industrial mechanic) and Denis Hayotz (inventory management specialist).

Bernd Otte as well as Siegfried Alteilges (HR Manager), Lukas Kneuper (HR) and Christian Schubert (Technical Training) also highly valued the former trainees’ excellent practical training performance. Naturally, this was well received by the new industrial mechanics Saskia Kathöfer, Matthias Rehage and Sergej Mill, inventory management specialist Marcel Stüker, and technical product designer Tobias Sander – who decided to add graduate studies to his vocational training.

In 2018, WP Kemper will again offer interesting traineeships to young people. The vacancies for different skilled occupations can already be found at the WP Kemper homepage.
